Hach chi i !
October is a busy month for Kindergarten with our themes, Body Awareness & What’s on the Menu? We will be talking about healthy foods, the importance of exercise, how germs can make us sick and why our bodies need rest.
We will have lots more fun during our field trip to the Sunny Farms Pumpkin Patch! Students will get to pick one pumpkin, take a trip through the haystack and corn maze as well as sample kettle corn & healthy apple cider.
Some questions you may want to ask Kindergarteners:
1. What is a pumpkin patch?
2. How do the pumpkins grow?
3. What colors are the pumpkins? (green, yellow, orange)
4. What food group are pumpkins from?
5. What can we make with the pumpkins other than Jack-o-Lanterns?
6. How does the store get pumpkins?
We will be examining the seed cycle and will explore the inside of a pumpkin. We are working on numbers 0-5 and letter names and sounds for m, a, s, d, t, i, p, n. o, k & r. We keep you posted on the adventures we take learning!
