The Commodity Food Program is designed to promote the levels of nutrition to eligible low-income households living on or near eligible Indian reservations. The Food Program Warehouse is set up to handle frozen and regular shipments monthly. The Food Commodity Program receives a weekly truck that carries fresh fruit from Seattle as well as a monthly truck that brings in the commodities. The Food bank trucks come in on the third Friday and the fourth Friday from Port Townsend and the Northwest Harvest.
To see if you meet the requirements for the USDA program, please stop by Jan's office or the Human Service Department and pick up a packet.
Please call ahead to place your food order; it takes approximately an hour to fill an order.
* Call Jan before heading to the warehouse to ensure the doors are open for you.
