SENIORS PROGRAM
Program Manager: Lisa Hohman-Penn (360) 374-6040
The Quileute Tribal Seniors Program is a Title VI Program, intended to provide nutrition and caregiver services to the elders of the Quileute Tribe. It is the program’s intent to improve the quality of life for the Quileute elders. Elders hold an honored position within Quileute society. They are the living threads to our past. Their health and welfare are of utmost importance to the program.
The objectives are to provide a well balanced meal that meets one third of the R.D.A. (recommended dietary allowance) to tribal seniors (ages 50 and older and their spouse/significant other) in both congregate settings or through a home delivery system when necessary, to provide information and referral to tribal elders and their caregivers and to follow all objectives and statements submitted in the Title VI application.
